Detailed below (and attached to this e-mail) are the leagues, tournaments, lessons and events that the Bemidji Area Tennis Association (BATA) has planned for this spring and summer. If you are interested in playing in or helping with any of the events detailed below, please contact the coordinator of that event.
PAUL BUNYAN COMMUNICATIONS 10 & UNDER TENNIS (open to all kids 10 & Under)
- Description: Six 36 foot courts set up for one afternoon during the PBC Walleye Fry

TENNIS UNDER THE LIGHTS
- Description: Tennis instruction and games for players entering grades 8-12 this fall.
$45 for 19 sessions, T shirt included. Proceeds go to the Bemidji Area Tennis Association indoor tennis facility.

10 AND UNDER TENNIS
- Description: Introduction to tennis for players 7-10 years old. Basic instruction using slower tennis balls and smaller racquets. Drills and games designed to develop hand eye coordination and introduce new players to the game of tennis. Registration form attached to this e-mail.
- $60 (total) for 8 lessons. Limit 8 students.

FREE PRACTICE MATCH SET UPS
- Description: The Bemidji Area Tennis Association provides local players with practice matches. Practice matches are great fun and an important component in improving your game. At your request you will be provided with the name and phone number of opponents that will provide you with a competitive match. You are responsible for setting up the match time and location. You will receive new matches after you report the scores from your scheduled matches or send a note that the match was played. Scoring information will help us to provide you with the best matches

SINGLES CHALLENGE LADDER (MEN’S & WOMEN’S COMBINED)
- Description: A singles challenge ladder will be maintained on the BATA website. You may challenge anyone that is one or two positions above your current position. You set up the time and location of play. Regular scoring (2 out of 3 sets). Report your scores to Paul Swartwood.
